Ever look at what’s going on in the world and just think “huh?” I don’t blame you. When it comes to international affairs and foreign policy, it can be very difficult to figure out what’s going on and why. With so much happening (at rapid speed I may add) weaving together events in a succinct way and making sense of it all can seem daunting. Thus the creation of this blog - The LAYO Letters!

With almost a decade of experience working in various parts of the US government, my mission is to discuss pressing issues at a top level, allowing readers to easily digest and learn about what’s happening in the world coupled with nuanced recommendations or predictions from yours truly.

I hope this blog helps readers understand not only what’s going on, but why it's important.  We often don’t think about the implications these issues can have domestically and this blog is here to engage those who may look at domestic and international issues as separate arenas.
